Welcome to the Monte 2020 Project!

What will Montezuma be like in the year 2020?

What is the future of our businesses, homes, school, and recreational areas?

The answers, of course, are up to us. As the people of Montezuma, we have the opportunity to shape our town's future. That's where Monte 2020 comes in.

Monte 2020 is a project for developing a vision for the Montezuma area and implementing it by 2020.

A Monte 2020 planning team has already analyzed the current state of Montezuma in terms of population, housing, education, recreation, business, and community services. Using this information, along with input received from the community, the team has developed a list of priority projects for economic improvement of the Montezuma area. Various organizations across the community will commit to taking on these projects.

Your input is critical! We need community support to make this vision a reality. This blog is a place to track our progress. Feel free to comment on any of the posts with your name, or anonymously. Comments will be monitored.

Let’s join together and build the community we want to see in the future!
